20-Something Year Old White Girl Starts Blog, Claims It Will Be “Different Than the Others”

On Monday, a 20-something year old caucasian female launched her very first blog after several minutes of careful planning and scrutiny. She claims it will be “different than the others”, hoping to offer her own “unique perspective” and occupy a “niche that has never been occupied before”. 

Her blog, entitled “Meta Miss”, is a source for lifestyle news and opinions. There will be a new article every week with topics such as relationships, health & fitness, entertainment, and more.

“I’ve always wanted to be a writer, ever since I was a kid. Recently I had an epiphany that I should start my very own blog. The problem is, there are millions of other blogs out there. How was I going to set myself apart from the rest of the crowd?”

In fact, the number of bloggers in the US is expected to reach 32 million in 2020. Blogging is an ever popular medium for those looking to share their expertise and thoughts with others. But how does one differentiate their blog from the millions of other blogs out there? How does the internet even hold that many blogs in the first place? Where do blogs go when they die? Bloggy heaven?

“I don’t care. If I’m the only one who reads it, I’ll be happy,” the new blogger, who arguably has no expertise or interesting thoughts and whose blog is surely fated for bloggy heaven, as all blogs inevitably are, offered a not-so-reassuring grin and a nervous chuckle. 

When asked what she’d like to say to her future followers, the creator of Meta Miss responded with: “Everything you read here is painstakingly fact-checked and 100% true. I guarantee it. Also, this blog will change your life.”
